Welcome to Torisandra Creates

This is my little corner of the internet where creativity, curiosity, and a willingness to try something new all get to hang out.

I crochet, upcycle, experiment, learn, make things, and occasionally disappear down a creative rabbit hole. If you're curious about what I'm making or want to learn alongside me, you're in the right place.

So, here we are. I finally decided to give all of these ideas, projects, experiments, and creative rabbit holes a place to live.

I've never been very good at sticking to just one creative thing. One day I'm crocheting, the next I'm cutting up an old piece of clothing wondering what I can turn it into. Then I might decide I need to learn something completely new because, apparently, my brain has never heard of the phrase “just leave it alone.”

And honestly? I wouldn't have it any other way.

Torisandra Creates is a place for all of that. The things that work. The things that don't. The projects that turn out better than I expected and the ones that teach me exactly what not to do next time.

I'm not here pretending to have everything figured out. I'm here to make things, learn things, share what I discover, and hopefully inspire you to follow a creative idea of your own. 

Meet Cassie

I'm Cassie, and if there's one thing you should probably know about me, it's that I have a hard time leaving a creative idea alone. I love crochet, upcycling, making things, learning new skills, and figuring out what I can create with whatever happens to catch my eye.

I'm not an expert at everything I try — and that's kind of the point. I enjoy the process just as much as the finished project, including the mistakes, the unexpected turns, and those moments when an idea actually works.

Learn With Me

One of my favorite things about creating is learning something I don't already know. Sometimes that means figuring out a new crochet technique. Sometimes it's experimenting with fabric, upcycling something I already have, or trying to make an idea in my head actually work in real life.

I'll share the projects I'm working on, the things I'm learning, the shortcuts I discover, and yes, occasionally the spectacular fails. Because sometimes the best lessons come from figuring out why something absolutely did not work.

You don't have to be an expert to create something. You just have to be willing to give it a try. If you're learning right alongside me, you're exactly where you belong.
